There’s something about Oregon’s South Coast that inspires a unique blend of musical talent that results in a vibrant music scene in the region. Afterall, Oregon’s Adventure Coast: Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston is home to a dynamic lineup of musical experiences from the renowned Oregon Coast Music Festival every July to the lively South Coast Clambake Music Festival each March. These annual events draw music lovers from near and far, offering a chance to enjoy performances that range from classical to contemporary, jazz to rock, and everything in between.
But beyond these marquee events, Oregon’s Adventure Coast offers numerous opportunities to experience live music that is distinctly our own. Whether it’s a local band playing at a cozy venue, a community concert in the park, or a special music-themed event, the region is brimming with musical moments that showcase the creativity and diversity of our local talent.
Depending on the season, visitors can often catch live local and regional musicians performing at various venues across Coos Bay, North Bend, and Charleston. Enjoy ongoing events and live music at The Mill Casino • Hotel & RV Park , 7 Devils Brewery , Wildflour Public House , and Front Street Food Trucks . Other spots to catch live tunes include The Captain’s Cabin , Coney Station , and the Coos Bay Downtown Farmers Market every Wednesday May through October. Join us at the Mingus Park Amphitheater every Thursday at 7 PM through September 12th for the Music on the Bay Concert Series. (Runs every Thursday August through mid-September annually.) With a diverse lineup featuring folk, rock, bluegrass, blues, Americana, and soul, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Hosted by the Music on The Bay, this series is dedicated to enriching the southern Oregon coast community through live music. Bring your chairs, a picnic, and your love for live music!

Renowned pianist Hunter Noack returns to this beloved 745-acre park, often referred to as the “jewel of the South Coast,” bringing his 9-foot Steinway grand piano for an unforgettable outdoor concert experience. Music will be transmitted via wireless headphones, inviting concert-goers to immerse themselves in the lush gardens of Shore Acres or take in the dramatic views from the cliffs—all while enjoying the serene sounds of classical music. The Coos County Community Concert Association - 2024/2025 Concerts
If you’re a music lover, take note! For more than 87 years, The Coos County Community Concert Association has been producing concerts that showcase a wide variety of artists, including solo classical pianists, brass ensembles, folk dance and music, musical tributes, singing groups, classical string artists, and much more. Members enjoy access to four outstanding concerts each season, all held in the historic Egyptian Theatre in Coos Bay. Join us for a weekend of cultural celebration and music honoring the traditions and the enduring spirit of the Coquille Indian Tribe and other Pacific Northwest Tribes! The 2-day festival, held annually at The Mill Casino Hotel & RV Park , is filled with free cultural demonstrations and captivating musical performances, including Native American storytellers, drummers, flutists, and dancers as well as a marketplace offering traditional goods and foods, canoe races, traditional games and activities for children and more. Highlighting the weekend is the traditional salmon bake meal, a ticketed event served from 11 AM – 5 PM Saturday and 11 AM – 4 PM Sunday.
The third weekend of September is always a fun-filled one here on Oregon’s Adventure Coast! The Annual Bay Area Fun Festival features live music, street vendors, unique wares, delicious food and drink, and a parade through downtown Coos Bay! This event is held in conjunction with the Annual Cruz the Coos and Show ‘n Shine and Prefontaine Memorial Run . Learn more .
Experience great music and more at Octoberfish , from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, October 5th! Held annually at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology: OIMB , this free, family-friendly event celebrates Coos culture with food, spirits, local art, and plenty of music. Enjoy activities for the kids, yoga workshops, a tuna cookout, and craft beer from 7 Devils Brewing Company. Don’t miss the fun—bring your lawn chair and help support the Charleston Food Bank!
