Summer is finally here, school is out, and the sun is casting longer, warmer days here on Oregon’s Adventure Coast: Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston. It’s the perfect time to hit the road in search of new adventures and create memories that will last a lifetime. Oregon’s Adventure Coast comes alive each summer and fall with outdoor events and festivals for all ages to enjoy. • Celebrate the 150th Birthday of Coos Bay All Summer Long! 2024 marks the 150th birthday of the City of Coos Bay. From historical tours and exhibits to community celebrations and special performances, there are plenty of opportunities to learn about and celebrate the rich history of Coos Bay! Consider exploring the special events planned to commemorate this milestone. • UTV TakeOver 2024 (North Bend) - June 25-30, 2024. Rev up your engines and prepare for an adrenaline-packed week at the UTV TakeOver 2024 . This family-friendly event, the largest community riding event of the year in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area , features thrilling dune rides, races, and freestyle exhibitions. • July 3rd & 4th Fireworks Over The Bay (North Bend & Coos Bay) - July 3-4, 2024. Celebrate Independence Day with not one, but TWO nights of fireworks and festivities on Oregon’s Adventure Coast! The Mill Casino will kick things off on Wednesday, July 3rd with the largest fireworks display on the Oregon Coast along with numerous festivities including a food and beer garden. The City of Coos Bay will officially kick off the 150th Birthday Summer of Celebrations with a 2nd night of fabulous fireworks at dusk on Thursday, July 4th plus multiple events during the day, including the Mayor’s Firecracker Fun Run in the morning and a festival at Mingus Park in Coos Bay. • Annual Margarita-Mill Festival (North Bend) - July 12-13, 2024. If you love margaritas, tacos and fun (and who doesn’t?), the Annual Margarita-Mill Festival is the event for you! This tasty outdoor event at The Mill Casino Hotel & RV Park features live music and margaritas as well as taco trucks and restaurateurs from around the state competing for the title of People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice Best Taco, Best Plate, and Best Booth Décor. • July Jubilee (North Bend) - July 12-14, 2024. Join us for this weekend-long celebration to commemorate North Bend’s 121st Birthday! The July Jubilee is packed with festivities and fun for all ages and a wonderful opportunity to experience the local culture and enjoy the festive spirit that makes Oregon’s Adventure Coast a special place to visit. • Oregon Coast Music Festival (Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston) - July 13-27, 2024. Music lovers, this one’s for you! This festival features two full weeks of a unique mix of musical genres performed live by talented musicians from across the country at different venues throughout Oregon’s Adventure Coast: Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston.
