Ready for the 2022 OSAA 3A & 4A Basketball State Tournaments!
Oregon’s Adventure Coast: Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston was selected to host back-to-back OSAA Basketball State Tournaments in March 2022!
Move over Beijing Olympics! There are a pair of thrilling sporting competitions coming to Oregon’s Adventure Coast: Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston - and we can’t wait! It’s all hands on deck as we’re preparing to welcome not one, but TWO basketball state championship tournaments in the coming weeks!
After a hiatus due to COVID-19, we’re thrilled to welcome back the talented young athletes participating in the OSAA 3A Basketball State Tournament, along with school faculty members and families here to watch! As an added bonus to the Class 3A tournament, we’re looking forward to pulling out all the stops and welcoming the Class 4A Basketball State Tournament event a week later!
Our hospitable spirit has garnered a positive reputation for Oregon’s Adventure Coast. For over a decade, the Coos Bay, North Bend and Charleston community has rolled out the red carpet for the Class 3A event by providing each team with a community “greeter” to assist them during the event, along with a meal for the team during the tournament. In addition, we have hosted an annual dinner for the coaches and a separate meal for all the players on the eve of the tournament, followed by a 3-point shootout at North Bend High School. We’re looking forward to providing the same level of hospitality and “wowing” the teams and spectators here for the Class 4A tournament.
The OSAA 3A Girls Basketball State Championship & 3A Boys Basketball State Tournament will be March 3-5, 2022. The 4A Girls Basketball State Championship & Boys 4A Basketball State Tournament will be the following weekend, March 10-12, 2022. Both tournaments will be held at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay & North Bend High School .
