31st ANNUAL HOLIDAY LIGHTS AT SHORE ACRES

Daily Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Eve

Charleston, OR- Famous for its beautiful 7-acre botanical gardens and Japanese lily pond. The gardens shine with over 325,000 lights, lighted sculptures and walk-through displays. 4pm – 9:30 pm every night Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve at Shore Acres State Park in Charleston, Oregon; just west of Coos Bay ($5 parking fee per vehicle). www.shoreacres.net

DOWNTOWN COOS BAY CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

Friday, November 24th, 2017 5:30 p.m.

Coos Bay, OR – Santa will arrive in Coos Bay by Tugboat to the Teen Idols singing Carols. Santa and the mayor will light the tree and then Santa will lead the children to the Egyptian Theatre where they can tell him their wish list. There will be a free screening of the beloved Christmas movie “Elf” at the Egyptian Theatre immediately following (details below).  

SANTA RETURNS TO THE HISTORIC EGYPTIAN THEATRE

Friday, November 24th, 2017 6:00 p.m.

Coos Bay, OR – Follow Santa from the Boardwalk after the tree lighting and stay for a FREE screening of “Elf”. Bring NEW socks made into “snowballs” for the annual “snowball fight” with them during the snowball fight scene. The socks will be gathered after the movie and donated to local homeless shelters. Movie will start around 7:30 p.m.

LITTLE THEATRE ON THE BAY PRESENTS “A CHRISTMAS STORY- THE MUSICAL”

November 24th- 26th & Dec. 8th – 17th

FESTIVAL OF TREES

November 28th, 2017-December 5th, 2017 (Live Auction)

North Bend, OR- Each year, The Mill Casino invites local businesses, individuals and organizations throughout the community to sponsor and decorate a tree or wreath for a worthy cause. All decorated trees and wreaths will be auctioned off in a live auction event held at 7 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at The Mill Casino•Hotel. All proceeds from The Festival of Trees will benefit Coos Bay~North Bend Rotary Club programs including Shots for Tots and Teens, The Women’s Safety and Resource Center, Kids HOPE Center and End Polio Now.  FREE ADMISSION. Coos Bay, OR- Do a little holiday shopping and browsing in the many downtown shops as you enjoy wine tastings in participating businesses. HOLIDAY KAYAKING TRIP ON THE ESTUARY

Charleston, OR- Experience rich cultural and natural history of the South Slough on a trail that flows with the tide. ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS CANTATA

Coos Bay, OR- Harmony United Methodist Church (formerly First United Methodist Church) will once again host their annual Christmas Cantata Service on Christmas Eve at 7:00 pm.
