August Seafood Festivals on Oregon’s Adventure Coast

The Oregon Coast is known for it’s delicious seafood and no trip is complete until you try some fresh local bounty.  There are numerous restaurants in our area to satisfy the craving for fresh Dungeness crab, clams, oysters, salmon and that can be located on our Restaurant Page.  You can also get recommendations on some of our favorite local dishes in our Pinterest Board

54th Annual Salmon BBQ: August 5, 2012 10:30 am to 3:30 pm
Join us for the annual event to celebrate the yummy salmon! Hosted by the Kiwanis Club and featuring their renowned glaze, menu will include barbecued Salmon Steaks, coleslaw, baked potatoes, rolls, coffee, ice cream. Charleston Seafood Festival: August 11-12, 2012 
This annual festival is a celebration of  Charleston’s fishing village heritage and the bounty of the Pacific Ocean.  This family friendly event features plenty of seafood, artisans, crafts, beer & wine, music, games, and more.   The celebration takes place at the Charleston Marina and is sponsored by the Charleston Fire Department Volunteer Association and the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay (owner/operator of the Charleston Marina). Community volunteers from the Charleston Merchants Association, the Charleston Community Enhancement Corporation and the Charleston Visitor Information Center also help promote the event and coordinate the festivities.
